Udemy
Udemy offers excellent video lessons with supporting materials for learning technical skills, creative techniques, business strategies, and more. With your Scarborough Public Library card you have access to thousands of high quality online courses that you would otherwise have to pay for. Unlike standard YouTube videos, with Udemy you create your own account, track your progress and even earn certificates to show others you are keeping your skills razor-sharp.
Grab your valuable library card and click here to get started. Enter your library card # when first prompted for a password. You will then need either a free Google (gmail.com) or Microsoft (outlook.com) email address to create your personal Udemy account.
Please note: In order to access the library's subscription to Udemy through a browser you'll need to always use this link: link.gale.com/apps/UDEMY?u=mainepl203. If you are outside the library, you will always be prompted first for a password, which is your library card#.
Once you setup your account, you'll be able access Udemy for Business through your smart phone or tablet using either the Android or Apple mobile app. Please note: the first time you open the app you'll be prompted to add a business/company name. Enter gale, so that it reads: gale.udemy.com. You'll then be asked to sign-in with the outlook or gmail address you used when you initially created your account.
